Cast iron teapots also known as tetsubin in Japan which were originally created in ancient China. This cast iron teapot or tetsubin with nailhead design, and is enamel lined for easy cleaning and care. It can be also used directly on stovetop to heat water.

Most sizes of cast iron teapots are come with a stainless steel mesh infuser for brewing tea. If using the pot to boil water, the infuser should be removed before doing so. After cleaning the area with a soft brush, boil used teabags or tealeaves. The tannic acid from the tea will react naturally with the iron producing a coating over the area.
